From teaching art to designing children’s wear in New York, Evelyn Funes Davidson has worked with children for over 20 years. Her resume includes organizations such as UNESCO to volunteer work in an Orphanage in India. She has lead family Art events at SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Art Center. She was a member and parent teacher at Montclair Community Play Center and is still on their sub roll list.
Evelyn has a BA in Art from San Francisco State University and studied fashion design as a post-graduate at Parsons School of Design in NY. She has completed 2 years of coursework in Early Childhood Education at Merritt College and supplemental work at Bananas Childcare Resources. She is certified in Infant and children CPR and first aid from the Red Cross. Evelyn is fluent in English and Spanish. She is a mother of two wonderful boys, Django age 8 and Desmond age 4 and shares a home with hubby Ezra. In her spare time, she enjoys nature outings with family, antiquing, yoga, cooking and making things.
Bertha has a Medical degree with a specialization in Forensics from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), Dominican Republic. She also has work experience in the area of Gender Violence, children and adolescents abused, with 6 months voluntary residency in the area of pediatrics (Rep. Dom).
Bertha is also a mom to daughter Merari who has two children. Bertha has helped raise 6 of her nephews and assisted in the birth of two of them. Her love for children is what led Bertha to work with us (we are lucky to have her). In her free time, Bertha is currently working on a 2nd Masters. She enjoys jewelry making, dancing and exploring the Bay Area with her partner of 20 years.
